Airbnb & Rental Agent — 50/50 Short-Term & Long-Term Rentals

About the Position

We are looking for a reliable, organized, and highly responsive Airbnb & Rental Agent to join our property management team.

This is a 50/50 position, combining two key areas of responsibility:

- 50% Short-Term Rental / Airbnb Management — overseeing the day-to-day operations and guest experience for a portfolio of 14 Airbnb/short-term rental units.
- 50% Long-Term Rental Leasing — managing apartment advertisements, responding to prospective tenants, showing available apartments, and helping fill our long-term rental units.

The ideal candidate is someone who is highly organized, takes initiative, communicates professionally, and is comfortable managing multiple properties and priorities at once. This is a hands-on position involving guest and tenant communication, advertising, property operations, quality control, cleaning coordination, maintenance, leasing, and emergency response.

We are also expanding our online presence through a new website and digital marketing strategy. Interest or experience in web design, AI tools, social media, and SEO is an asset.

Key Responsibilities

50% — Short-Term Rental / Airbnb Management

Guest & Airbnb Management

- Manage the day-to-day operations of 14 Airbnb/short-term rental units
- Coordinate guest check-ins and check-outs
- Communicate with guests before, during, and after their stays
- Handle guest complaints and resolve issues quickly and professionally
- Monitor reviews and guest feedback
- Maintain excellent Airbnb ratings and Superhost status

Property Operations

- Ensure units are clean, stocked, functional, and guest-ready
- Coordinate with cleaning staff regarding turnovers, special cleaning requirements, and quality issues
- Coordinate restocking and supply purchases




- Report and coordinate repairs, maintenance, and property issues
- Respond to urgent property issues and coordinate solutions
- Conduct property visits and quality-control checks as required

Revenue & Operations

- Help optimize pricing and occupancy based on seasonality, demand, events, and market conditions
- Identify opportunities to improve guest satisfaction and operational efficiency
- Ensure properties comply with applicable Airbnb rules and short-term rental regulations

50% — Long-Term Rental Agent

Apartment Advertising

- Create and post advertisements for available apartments
- Keep rental listings up to date across our website, Kijiji, Facebook, and other relevant platforms
- Take high-quality photos and videos of available apartments
- Write clear, attractive, and accurate apartment descriptions
- Ensure advertisements accurately reflect availability, pricing, features, and requirements
- Monitor advertisements and update/remove listings as units are rented

Leasing & Prospective Tenants

- Respond promptly to rental inquiries
- Answer questions from prospective tenants
- Pre-qualify prospective tenants according to company requirements
- Schedule and conduct apartment viewings
- Follow up with prospective tenants after viewings
- Maintain communication with applicants throughout the rental process
- Help coordinate the leasing process from initial inquiry through rental

Marketing & Online Presence

- Help develop and improve our online rental presence
- Identify ways to improve apartment advertisements and generate more qualified inquiries
- Assist with website content and updates




- Interest in SEO, social media, AI tools, photography, or digital marketing is an asset

24/7 Emergency Availability

- Remain available by phone for emergency situations outside regular working hours
- Respond to urgent guest calls and messages
- Coordinate solutions for urgent property issues
- 24/7 availability is specifically for emergencies and does not mean working regular hours outside the scheduled workday

Requirements

- Valid driver's license and access to a reliable personal vehicle — mandatory
- Previous experience with Airbnb, short-term rentals, hospitality, property management, leasing, sales, or a similar role is strongly preferred
- Comfortable managing both short-term guests and long-term rental prospects
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Robust organizational and time-management skills
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to remain calm under pressure
- Professional and customer-service-oriented
- Comfortable using Airbnb and technology-based communication platforms
- Comfortable creating online advertisements and communicating with prospective tenants
- Ability to work independently and take initiative
- Reliable, punctual, and highly responsive
- Fluent French and English preferred/required depending on operational needs
- Comfortable travelling between multiple properties throughout Montréal
- Comfortable being on-call for emergency situations

Compensation & Incentives

- $50,000–$55,000 annual salary
- Bonus incentives TBD
- Potential bonuses tied to:
- Maintaining Superhost status
- Occupancy and revenue performance
- Leasing/rental performance

Pay: $50,000.00-$55,000.00 per year
