About Burdock

We are an independent brewery based in Toronto, making beer since 2015. We have two brewing facilities (production & pilot) and make everything from clean lagers to hoppy pale ales to barrel-aged beer-wine hybrids. This position is primarily for our Kensington Market location but will also involve working at our Bloor St. facility from time to time.

The Role

Burdock is looking for an experienced brewer to join our production team. We are a small production team, and everyone does a mix of everything in the brewery (brewing, cellaring, canning line operation, kegging, trucking, inventory, QC). We take pride in brewers being involved in all aspects of production. We run production Monday-Friday and hours are variable depending on the brewing schedule - there are no night shifts.

Who We’re Looking For

The ideal candidate is someone friendly, technically strong, organized, mechanically inclined, and comfortable with all aspects of brewery operation.

Ideally, you have:

- 3+ years of professional brewing experience
- Experience operating a Wild Goose Canning line
- Experience driving trucks, we operate a 16’ box truck
- Interest in lagers, pale ales, mixed-fermentation beer, and seltzers
- An excellent palette for beer and or wine




- Strong mechanical aptitude; you understand pumps and pipes.
- Experience and willingness to work with inventory management software
- Deep appreciation for organization and are self-motivated to improve system
- Neat freak / clean freak tendencies
- Ability to multi-task and complete several processes concurrently
- Big problem solver energy and love to solve challenges on the fly

Formal brewing education is a bonus. Attitude and experience prioritized.

Schedule: Full time, weekdays with occasional early morning/evenings as required.
