Job Summary

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Drywall Taper to join our dynamic construction team. In this role, you will be responsible for finishing drywall surfaces to create smooth, seamless walls and ceilings that meet high-quality standards. Your expertise will help bring architectural visions to life, ensuring each project is completed efficiently, accurately, and with precision. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse construction projects and develop your skills in drywall finishing, painting, carpentry, and general handyman tasks.

Duties

- Apply joint compound (mud) to drywall seams, corners, and screw holes to achieve a flawless surface ready for painting or finishing.
- Tape drywall joints using appropriate materials and techniques to ensure solid, smooth seams.
- Sand and smooth finished surfaces for optimal appearance and prepare them for painting or other finishes.
- Caulk gaps around trim, moldings, and fixtures to ensure airtight and visually appealing results.
- Read blueprints and construction plans to accurately identify areas requiring taping, mudding, or finishing work.
- Assist with related tasks such as minor carpentry repairs, painting touch-ups,



or handyman duties as needed on-site.
- Maintain a clean work environment by organizing tools and materials while adhering to safety protocols throughout the project.

Experience

- Prior experience in drywall finishing or taping is highly preferred; construction experience in general is a strong plus.
- Knowledge of construction painting, carpentry, caulking, and blueprint reading enhances your ability to succeed in this role.
- Hands-on experience with drywall installation, sanding techniques, and surface preparation is essential.
- Familiarity with handyman tasks such as minor repairs or maintenance work is advantageous.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and blueprints accurately ensures precise application of finishing techniques.
