Position: Grocery Clerk

Reports To: Grocery Manager (or Store Manager in Manager’s

absence).

In order to fulfill your duties you are expected to:

1. Come to work on time and present yourself in a neat and well-groomed manner every day and to wear your uniform if you are required to do so.

2. Take direction from Grocery Manager (or Store Manager in his/her absence).

3. Ensure that Company principles, policies and store management direction is understood and reflected in your day to day work.

4. Work cooperatively with the Grocery Manager and co-workers to achieve Company goals and targets.

5. Make sure that product is handled with care and in a manner that no damage will result.

6. Fill up and maintain your section to the maximum fullness possible (keep top shelf at the height described by grocery manager).

7. Be sure to maintain shelves in your section always clean (i.e. dusting, wiping etc...).

8. Make sure that all products are identified with clean easy to read shelf labels.

Perform your work in the grocery isles without obstructing the shoppers.

10. Keep your work areas clean and tidy at all times and leave your work areas clean and tidy in the retail and storage areas at the end of your shift.

11. Be sure to rotate all code dated merchandise when required as per Company standards.

12. Report to management if you notice that freezers are not recording proper temperatures.

13. Report to Grocery Manager, potential out of stocks and be constantly aware of inventory levels.

14. Make sure that all damaged product is brought to the attention of the Grocery Manager.

15. Help with cleaning when required.
