Reporting to the Manager, Creative Services, the Senior Designer creates overall brand or “big picture” creative for all aspects of the RRU brand by developing concepts for print and online advertising for the corporate business and/or individual departments or programs, as well as products that facilitate the institutions goal of growth. Ensuring that their work meets the Society of Graphic Designer of Canada (GDC) professional standards of best practice, the Senior Designer shapes how RRU is visually perceived on a global basis by developing the visual representation of the RRU brand. The Senior Designer works with the Creative and Marketing teams to develop creative strategy and project parameters. The Senior Designer is expected to project manage their tasks and to operate on a relatively independent basis.

Job Requirements

- A degree in Graphic Design and a minimum of 5 years related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Strong customer focus
- Advanced knowledge of print production, digital publishing and multi platform design including web, social media, and email communications.
- Enthusiastic and effective as a team member with strong understanding of organizational goals and values
- Proficiency with Adobe Creative Cloud applications
- Qualified qualifications including GDC credentials are considered an asset

This is a temporary,



full-time position working 37.5 hours per week for a term of 6 months. This position has been evaluated at MPT-C with a salary range of $78,723 (minimum) to $92,515 (midpoint) to $106,305 (maximum) per annum. Employment offers will normally be made between the minimum and midpoint of the range and are determined by knowledge, experience and internal equity.
