Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and friendly Cashier to join our team in a fast-paced retail environment. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing excellent customer service, accurately processing transactions, and maintaining a clean and organized checkout area. This role requires solid communication skills and the ability to handle cash transactions efficiently while ensuring customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

- Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system to process customer transactions accurately and efficiently.
- Provide exceptional customer service by greeting customers, answering questions, and assisting with product selections.
- Handle cash, credit, and debit transactions while ensuring accurate cash handling practices.
- Upsell products and promote special offers to enhance the shopping experience and increase sales.
- Assist in stocking shelves, merchandising products, and maintaining an organized store layout.
- Conduct product demonstrations to educate customers about new items or promotions.
- Supervise junior staff members as needed, providing guidance and support in their roles.
- Maintain cleanliness at the checkout area and ensure all equipment is functioning properly.




- Utilize basic math skills for accurate cash handling and retail math calculations.

Qualifications

- Previous experience in cashiering or retail sales is preferred.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with customers.
- Bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply to better serve our diverse clientele.
- Familiarity with phone etiquette for handling customer inquiries over the phone.
- Basic math skills for handling cash transactions and performing retail math calculations.
- Experience with merchandising and stocking products is a plus.
