JOB DESCRIPTION

Pivotal Staffing is hiring a General Labourer / Production Floater for our client in Scarborough. This is a hands-on position supporting different areas of the facility, including production, cabinet work, shipping, and general manufacturing operations.

The successful candidate must be physically capable of lifting 60 lbs or more and have previous production or manufacturing experience.

About the Job Opportunity

This is a versatile floater position where you will assist wherever support is required throughout the facility. Responsibilities may include assisting with cabinets, supporting production, helping in the shipping area, moving materials, and completing other general labour duties.

The ideal candidate is physically strong, reliable, flexible, and comfortable working in different departments within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

RESPONSIBILITIES

- Work as a floater, assisting different departments based on daily operational needs




- Assist with cabinet-related production and material handling
- Support general production and manufacturing activities
- Assist the shipping department with preparing, moving, and organizing materials
- Lift and move materials and products weighing 60 lbs or more
- Load, unload, move, and stage materials as required
- Use hand tools and power tools safely when required
- Assist with assembly and other general production duties
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work setting
- Work collaboratively with production, shipping, and warehouse team members
- Follow all company health and safety procedures
- Perform other general labour duties as assigned

REQUIREMENTS

- Previous production or manufacturing experience is required
- Must be physically capable of lifting 60 lbs+ safely
- Comfortable performing repetitive and physically demanding work
- Ability to work in different departments and adapt to changing daily requirements
- Previous experience with hand tools and power tools is an asset
- Shipping, warehouse, assembly, or cabinet manufacturing experience is an asset
- Strong understanding of workplace safety procedures
- Reliable, hardworking, and team-oriented
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
- Forklift licence is not required
