ABOUT THE ROLE

We’re seeking a Junior IT Systems Technician to join our trading firm. You’ll balance IT support responsibilities with software development work, including developing tools and features for our internal platforms and trading systems. This role offers unique exposure to both infrastructure reliability and application development in a fast-paced financial workplace, with a focus on AI-driven automation initiatives.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Monitor and troubleshoot trading systems and infrastructure
- Provide technical support to traders and business users
- Develop and deploy trading applications and tools
- Write scripts and utilities for automation and reporting
- Maintain and update codebase using Git
- Generate reports and analytics for business teams
- Develop new features for internal platforms
- Contribute to AI-driven support automation initiatives

REQUIRED SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:





- Proficiency in Python (scripting, automation, application development)
- Git version control experience and best practices
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Windows and/or Linux system familiarity
- Understanding of software development lifecycle
- Professional French & English proficiency, both written and oral (regular communication with brokers and technology firms in New York and Toronto)
- Excellent communication and reliability
- Interest in AI automation and software development

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

- Experience with financial systems or trading platforms
- C# and .NET development experience
- Knowledge of databases and SQL
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines or deployment processes
- Shell scripting or other automation experience
- AI/ML concepts for automation and support tooling
