Electro-Mechanical Assembler – Full-time

Pay Rate: $20/hr.
Location: Georgetown, ON
Type: Full-time, Long-term (Monday to Friday)
Shift: 7am to 3:30 pm

Job duties:

- Responsible for performing operations in preparation, connection and assembly of various electrical and electronic components into temperature controllers.
- Assist to other Assemblers or other production personnel when necessary.
- Build, assemble and/or prep other products to proper specifications required as per Job Instruction Sheet;
- Position and attach hardware, such as backplane and rack assemblers, power panel assemblers and cabinet wiring as per Job instructions sheet.
- Precision assemble soldering, de-soldering and related equipment and devices;
- Ensure subassemblies and circuit boards are correctly assembled to given specifications or blueprint;
- Conduct electrical wiring continuity check up to the applicable general electrical wiring diagram and electronic component layouts
- Utilize various hand tools (voltmeter, ammeter, or ohmmeter) required to perform daily tasks;
- Conduct receipt process, verify quantity, match receipts to items shipped, update status and note discrepancies.
- Read work orders, instructions, formulas, or processing charts
- Complete minor troubleshooting as required
- Helping peers in component installation, hand soldering and cable harnessing on assembly units.
- The work is done in cramped or uncomfortable positions (back rotation, flexion and crouching) with little opportunity to move about.
- While performing the duties of this position,



the individual will be in contact with manual machinery, tools and equipment.
- There may be exposure to fumes or airborne particles.

Requirements:

- A high degree of manual dexterity. is required.
- Must be capable of reading and interpreting documents such as safety policy and procedures, blueprints, Job-instructions sheet.
- A mechanical aptitude, ability to apply common sense and problem solve involving several concrete variables in standardized situations is required.
- Ability to work in a quick-paced environment
- Must possess electronic/mechanical component identification skills as well as the ability to operate assorted small hand tools;
- Ability to work independently without supervision.

Qualifications & Experience;

- A High School Diploma.
- At least one year of electronic/electrical assembly experience

Other Information:

- Noise level is low to moderate;
- safety boots and eye/ear protection are required;
- The working area is climate controlled.
