The Position
We are looking for compassionate, dependable, and trustworthy individuals to join our growing team as Caregivers / Senior Companions.
This is a great opportunity for someone who genuinely enjoys working with seniors and wants to make a meaningful difference in their day-to-day lives.
Responsibilities
Depending on the needs of each client, responsibilities may include:
- Providing companionship and social interaction
- Assisting with housekeeping and household tasks
- Preparing simple meals
- Supporting seniors with daily routines
- Accompanying clients on walks, errands, or appointments
- Participating in wellness and recreational activities
- Providing non-medical personal support
- Communicating respectfully with clients and their families
- Helping clients maintain a safe and comfortable home environment
What We’re Looking For
The ideal candidate is:
- Compassionate, patient, and respectful
- Reliable and punctual
- Comfortable working independently in clients’ homes
- Able to communicate professionally with seniors and their families
- Responsible and trustworthy
- Current First Aid and CPR certification
- Willing to complete a criminal record check and Vulnerable Sector Check
- Previous experience working with seniors or providing caregiving support is an asset
- Valid driver’s licence and reliable transportation is an asset
Availability
This is currently a part-time/casual position, with hours based on client needs. As Hope Beyond Barriers grows, additional hours may become available.
