Position Overview: We are seeking motivated Junior Geologists to work on-site for one of our valued clients in the mining industry. This role involves hands-on geological work in energetic mining environments, ensuring safety, accuracy, and efficiency in all tasks. This position is ideal for an entry-level geologist looking to begin their career in the mining industry.

This is a fly-in/fly-out contract and is anticipated to last 12 months.

The preferred candidate will be based in Calgary, Kelowna, or Vancouver, British Columbia. Qualified candidates residing in the United States will also be considered, provided they hold a valid passport and are able to travel as required.

Key Responsibilities

- Work safely and follow all health, safety, and environmental procedures.

- Follow verbal and written instructions, policies, and standard operating procedures.

- Safely operate company vehicles on paved and unpaved roads.

- Properly use required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).

- Identify, report, and help mitigate safety and environmental hazards.

- Lead and perform core processing activities, including washing, photographing, marking up, logging support, sampling, and cutting drill core.

- Operate and maintain core cutting equipment safely and efficiently.

- Accurately measure and record core recovery, RQD, and sample intervals in accordance with project procedures.

- Ensure proper sampling techniques and chain-of-custody procedures are followed to maintain sample integrity.





- Conduct quality control checks on core handling, sampling, and documentation processes.

- Coordinate the collection and transportation of drill core and RC samples from drill sites as required.

- Maintain accurate records, sample inventories, daily reports, timesheets, and other project documentation.

- Ensure compliance with all site safety policies, environmental regulations, and client procedures.

- Log and sample drill core accurately and efficiently.

- Maintain organized and accurate geological data and records.

- Collaborate with geologists and technical staff to support exploration and resource evaluation activities.

Qualifications

- B.S. degree in Geology or a related field.

- Minimum 3 years of experience in core logging and sampling.

- Experience working with epithermal and Golden Triangle deposits, strongly preferred.

- Experience identifying lithology, alteration, mineralization, and structural features in drill core.

- Proficiency with geological software; experience with Leapfrog and Acquire preferred.

- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and self-motivation.

- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.

- Previous mining or mineral exploration experience preferred.

- Surface MSHA certification required.

- Valid driver's license required.





- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs and work in field and core shed environments.
