We are a small, full service local construction company operating in the Vancouver Lower Mainland, building custom homes primarily in North & West Vancouver. We are growing quickly and are looking for a self-motivated, organized, and dynamic professional to join our team. The Lead Hand Carpenter will build, maintain, and repair structures to the high standard of the company expectations. The successful candidate will understand the schedule and over all project and communicate with the Construction Manager regularly. The successful candidate will have a keen eye for detail, strive for excellence and be open to new ideas of improving company processes and conducting business. The candidate will be resourceful and an energetic team player with robust carpentry skills. The Lead Hand Carpenter will have a full understanding of the project and expectations. The successful candidate will be required to work independently and as part of a team, prioritize daily tasks and ensure that deadlines are met.

Responsibilities:

- Proficient Framework
- Install foundation, walls, floors, and ceilings using materials such as: wood, steel, metal, concrete, plastics, and composites
- Fit and install doors, door frames, door hardware,



interior and exterior trim

- Fully understand blueprints, sketches, or building plans

- Shapes or cuts materials using hand tools, machines, or power saws

- Follows safety rules and regulations and maintain safe and clean environment

- Move necessary materials around worksite as required

- Clean up worksite daily

- Fully understand PO process for materials needed

- Pick up necessary materials

- Communication with Construction Manager

- Fully understand plans, schedule, and overall project

Requirements:

- Min. 5 years of construction experience
- Red Seal Certification - preferred
- Valid Driver’s License
- Eagerness to learn and develop skills
