The Opportunity
Reporting to the Operations Manager, the Production Technician supports the team with topical production and packaging functions such as creating, assembling, labelling, and boxing of final products. As well as performing cleaning and overseeing the cleanliness of the facility, they ensure that sanitation practices meet Good Production Practices (GPP).

Job Duties

·Work quickly, efficiently, and reliably both independently and in a group environment
· Follow checks and balances for quality, efficiency, and safety, thus minimizing contamination and waste of products
· Participate in the cleaning and sanitization of production and non-production areas of the facility
· Prevent cross-contamination of product, equipment, and product contact surfaces while performing sanitation duties
· Work safely with chemicals and cleaning agents being used
· Assemble packaging of final products
· Place labels and stickers on final products
· Place final products in boxes
· Maintain all sanitation tools and equipment
· Prepare cleaning solutions
· Adhere to sanitation Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and company policies at all times
· Promote and enforce Health and Safety regulations and policies
· Maintain cleaning and sanitation logs




· Work with production and QA to ensure sanitation requirements are met as per GPP
· Manage waste in accordance with the Cannabis Act
· Maintain a collaborative attitude and work closely with colleagues
· Maintain a positive and progressive team atmosphere across all departments
· Other job duties as assigned

Qualifications
· Previous production experience working in a manufacturing workplace is an asset
· Clean criminal record
· Excellent workmanship skills
· Team worker able to coexist with other staff and assist whenever able
· Able to work independently once given a task
· Strong attention to detail

Working conditions
· Shifts may be subject to business needs and you may be asked to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
· PPE Required: Scrubs, gloves, mask, hairnets, and safety shoes

Physical requirements
· Ability to perform repetitive tasks while maintaining a high level of attention to detail
· ·Ability to stoop, bend, kneel, and reach as needed
· Ability to lift up to 40 pounds
