Job Summary
The Human Resources Coordinator will play a key role within Pat’s Auto Capital Corp.. This individual will be responsible for the development and writing of policies, procedures, and best practices. The Human Resources Coordinator will have superior working knowledge of all forms of compensation structures as well as experience with labour relations issues. He or she will have experience with compensation and benefits management, recruitment procedures. The Human Resources Coordinator will be a team player who keeps current with all applicable regulations and provides recommendations wherever needed. This role requires an analytical mind, superior communication skills, and the ability to foster positive relationships between the management team and employees.
Duties
- Administer health and welfare plans including enrolments, changes, and terminations.
- Answer all employees’ questions regarding healthcare and wellness plans.
- Knowledge of compensation structures for both managerial and non-managerial employees.
- Provide analysis, development and writing reports as required.
- Research and identify best practices regarding employee compensation, benefits, and recruitment.
- Write, research, develop, implement and evaluate compliant policies for both Alberta and British Columbia regulations.
- Develop and support recruitment procedures, job postings, and advertising.
- Recommend current policies and procedures to affect company improvements and organizational efficiencies.
- Organize performance management evaluations.
- Data collection, analysis and management for the Chief Financial Officer.
- Assist in strategical planning for the organization's human capital needs, in concert with Branch Managers.
- Maintain positive working relationships with employees and the management team.
- Coordinate occupational health and safety training to new hires.
- Advise and assist Branch managers on the interpretation and administration of policies, programs and best practices.
- Adhere to legislation such as the Human Rights Act and Labour Standards Act for Alberta and British Columbia.
- Inform employees about policies, job duties, working conditions, wages, and opportunities for promotion.
- Advise managers on organizational matters such as discrimination, discipline, harassment, etc.
- Conduct exit interviews.
- Assist in the investigation and reporting of accidents/incidents.
- Other duties as required.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources management required or equivalent experience.
- Ability to work well under pressure, individually and as part of a team.
- Proven conflict resolution and negotiation skills.
- Ability to maintain and preserve strict confidentiality.
- Excellent time and project management skills.
- Attention to detail in all areas of work.
- Experience in the customer service industry preferred.
- Experience with regulations and policies in Alberta and British Columbia an asset.
- Human Resources experience is an asset.
- CHRP designation is an asset.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $60,000.00-$70,000.00 per year
