About the role

** This role is an in person role Monday to Friday at our Head Office in Surrey BC.

Only those applicants that can be ON SITE full time will be considered.

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented 3D AutoCAD Drafter to join our team. As an 3D AutoCAD Drafter, you will be responsible for creating technical drawings and plans for various projects, collaborating with engineers and architects to translate concepts into accurate and professional designs. This role requires expertise in 2D/3D AutoCAD software and a strong understanding of drafting standards, attention to detail, and a willingness to collaborate with other designers as well as work independently with minor supervision, being able to meet strict deadlines is also crucial for this role.

KEY RESPONIBILITIES

- Prepare and maintain both engineering/approval drawings and detailed manufacturing drawings. Collaborating with senior team members as needed, ensuring each drawing type meets its distinct standards and audience.

- Review and verify design documents - from initial concept through to final shop drawing- to ensure accuracy, quality, and adherence to project specifications.

- Modify and revise existing drawings based on feedback from team members or clients.

- Coordinate across relevant teams to resolve discrepancies between approval drawings and shop drawings before production begins.

- Perform final quality checks on completed drawings and cut lists prior to release,



confirming they are production ready and free of errors that could cause fabrication delays.

- Ensure that all drawings are properly labeled, dimensioned, and accurately represent the intended design.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

· Proven experience as an AutoCAD Drafter or in a similar design drafting role.

· Strong critical thinking skills, proficiency in AutoCAD (both 2D and 3D) is required. (Successful candidates WILL be asked to complete a test on 3dAutoCAD skills before moving on in the interview process.)

. Experience working directly with a manufacturing or fabrication shop is strongly preferred- understanding how drawings errors translate into real production costs and delays.

· Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications

· Ability to manage time effectively, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.

· Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.

· Proactively engages in training to master proprietary software and skills.

· Willingness to learn the product and design systems in place.

· Team player with desire to learn and collaborate with fellow team members.

HOURS: Monday to Friday 9:00 am - 5:00 pm ON SITE ONLY.

Pay: $25.00-$30.00 per hour
