Your Opportunity:
This is your chance to join the Calgary Rural North Program supporting Airdrie and Didsbury Addiction and Mental Health Clinics. This position is based in Airdrie and offers 2-3 days per week to the Didsbury community. Although this position support clients across the life span there is a special focus on adolescents and emerging adults. This position works independently as a member of a multiple disciplinary team providing evidence informed and best practices in assessment, treatment, addiction and mental health interventions, support and follow-up to clients. This is an advanced mental health role required to perform the restricted activity of Psychosocial Interventions to address the full range of mental health issues.
Description:
As a Family Counsellor, you will provide assessment, diagnosis, treatment and follow-up to clients and their families. You will also provide clinical focused consultation with other programs or community resources and acts as a liaison to develop and promote preventative health programs in the community.
You will collaborate with other health care providers and community service providers to ensure a continuum of care in the community.

Required Qualifications:
Completion of master's degree in a health related field. Active or eligible for registration with the applicable Alberta regulatory college.
Additional Required Qualifications:
3+ years of experience in community mental health experience working with adolescents.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with rural communities.
