A career as an Advisor in the Capital Markets Client Due Diligence team at National Bank means acting as a specialist in due diligence and risk alert management. In this role, you will help protect the organization and support Wealth Management activities by assessing client-related risks, conducting enhanced due diligence reviews, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements related to anti-money laundering and anti-terrorist financing. Your expertise in risk analysis, regulatory compliance, and investigative research will have a direct impact on the quality and integrity of our operations.

Your role

- Conduct enhanced due diligence reviews and assess alerts related to anti-money laundering and anti-terrorist financing activities in accordance with regulatory requirements and internal standards.
- Analyze client information, risk indicators, and supporting documentation to determine appropriate actions and recommendations.
- Research and document findings using available tools, systems, and applications while ensuring adherence to established procedures.
- Advise Wealth Management partners by providing guidance, recommendations, and expertise on due diligence matters and regulatory expectations.
- Monitor emerging money laundering typologies, regulatory developments, and industry best practices to support sound risk management decisions.
- Contribute to the enhancement of procedures, controls, documentation, and continuous improvement initiatives supporting the team’s activities.

Your team

The Capital Markets Operations sector consists of specialists who work in an agile, proactive, and collaborative manner to manage risk, strengthen compliance practices, and continuously improve processes.

Within the Capital Markets Client Due Diligence team,



you are part of a multidisciplinary group of compliance and operations professionals and report to the Senior Director, Capital Markets Client Due Diligence. Requirements

- Hold a university certificate and 6 years of relevant experience; OR a bachelor’s degree and 4 years of relevant experience; OR a master’s degree and 2 years of relevant experience.
- Demonstrate solid knowledge of Wealth Management activities and applicable regulatory frameworks, including CIRO regulations and OSFI standards.
- Possess experience interpreting compliance requirements, regulatory obligations, and industry standards within financial services.
- Have experience conducting due diligence reviews, risk assessments, investigations, or compliance-related analyses.
- Demonstrate knowledge of the Proceeds of Crime (Money Laundering) and Terrorist Financing Act (PCMLTFA)



and related regulations, considered a strong asset.
