Human Capital Management Technology Specialist

- Pay Rate: $73.80/hour, depending on experience
- Contract Length: Contract runs until September 30, 2027 (possibility of extension)
- Location: Calgary, Alberta

Raise is currently hiring a Human Capital Management Technology Specialist on behalf of our client. They’re expanding their team to meet growing needs, making this a unique opportunity to work with an industry leader. Our Client, is a major Canadian airline.

Note: The primary pay rate is based on T4 classification; however, we will also consider applications from candidates interested in an INC classification, where applicable.

Description

The HCM Technology Specialist to join our clients team on a contract basis. This role is ideal for a highly skilled HR technology professional who thrives in a fast paced environment and enjoys solving complex business and technical challenges. As a trusted subject matter expert, you will support the ongoing administration, configuration, enhancement, and operational stability of enterprise HCM solutions. You will work closely with HR, Payroll, Benefits, Operations, Technology teams, vendors, and implementation partners to ensure reliable, secure, and efficient delivery of critical people related technologies and processes.

Responsibilities

- HCM Application Support
- Provide daytoday support, administration, and maintenance of HCM platforms and related applications.
- Investigate, troubleshoot, and resolve complex system, process, data, and integration issues.
- Perform root cause analysis and implement sustainable solutions to recurring problems.
- Support incidents, service requests, and operational enhancements. Configuration & Continuous Improvement
- Configure and maintain system functionality, business processes, workflows, forms, notifications, and security models.
- Gather and analyze business requirements and translate them into scalable technology solutions.
- Identify opportunities to streamline processes, improve user experience, and increase operational efficiency.
- Support testing, deployment, and postimplementation activities. Workforce & HR Process Support
- Support key HR processes including workforce management, benefits administration, employee lifecycle transactions, and related business functions.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to improve process effectiveness and system adoption.
- Ensure configurations align with business requirements, policies,



and regulatory obligations. Integrations & Technical Solutions
- Support interfaces, integrations, APIs, and data exchange processes between enterprise applications.
- Partner with technical teams and vendors to troubleshoot and resolve integration issues.
- Assist with solution design, testing, deployment, and ongoing support of integration capabilities.
- Support data quality and system reliability initiatives. Release & Environment Management
- Evaluate system updates and new functionality.
- Conduct impact assessments and coordinate testing activities.
- Support release planning, deployment readiness, and stakeholder communications.
- Assist with workplace management and change implementation activities. Governance, Compliance & Controls
- Support audit, compliance, security, and governance activities.
- Participate in access reviews, control execution, and evidence collection.
- Ensure solutions comply with established policies, standards, and operational procedures.
Maintain documentation, knowledge articles, and operational runbooks.

Qualifications

- 5+ years of experience supporting all modules within Dayforce.
- Experience with system administration, configuration, troubleshooting, and support.
- Robust understanding of HR, Payroll, Benefits, Time Management, or Workforce Management processes.
- Experience supporting integrations, APIs, reporting, and data management.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills.
- Experience supporting system upgrades, releases, and change management activities.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Proven ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.

- Experience supporting regulated environments and audit requirements.
- Knowledge of ITIL, ITSM, and service management practices.
- Experience working with thirdparty vendors and implementation partners.

- Degree in Human Resources, Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field is standard for senior-level HCM specialist roles.
- Certifications directly from Dayforce covering core modules (e.g., Core HR, Payroll, Benefits, Time & Attendance, or Workforce Management). (nice to have)
- Industry-recognized credentials such as the Payroll Compliance Practitioner (PCP) or Certified Payroll Manager (CPM) (nice to have)
- ITIL Foundation Certification: ITIL, ITSM, (nice to have)
Change Management Certifications like PROSCI (nice to have)
