About the Role

Finish carpentry is the core of this role. That's where your skill has to be -- clean, accurate, and executed to a standard that holds up on a high-end custom home. But this is also a full-cycle position. You'll work across the whole build -- demo, framing, site prep, coordination, cleanup, and handover. Some days you're fitting custom millwork. Other days you're moving material or prepping for the next trade. Everyone on our sites does what needs doing.

We'll train you on specific processes and details. What the work demands is a high baseline of craft, an organized approach, and a genuine standard for how things should look when they're done.

On a Datum site, right is not optional. We don't leave things close enough and move on. If something isn't right, we make it right -- and we'd rather you be the person who catches it before anyone else does.

What You'll Be Doing

- Finish carpentry across custom homes and renovations: trim, millwork, doors, hardware, built-ins, and custom details
- Full-cycle site work from demolition and framing through final handover
- Site prep, cleanup, and organization -- our sites stay tidy and professional throughout the build
- Coordination with project leads and specialized trades including concrete, cabinetry, glazing, and landscaping
- Reading and interpreting drawings and details to execute work accurately
- Safe operation of a wide range of hand and power tools




- Flagging problems early and communicating clearly when something needs attention

Who We're Looking For

- A finishing carpenter with strong skills in trim, millwork, and custom detail work
- Someone who has also worked across other stages of a build and is comfortable moving between tasks
- Organized, clean, and efficient on site -- you know where your tools are and your work area shows it
- Someone who notices what's not right and takes ownership of fixing it
- Reliable and professional on high-end residential job sites
- Looking for steady, long-term work on projects where the standard is consistently high

Experience and Qualifications

- Minimum 4 years of residential construction experience with demonstrated finish carpentry work
- Strong skills in trim, millwork, and custom detail execution
- Broader construction experience across framing, demo, or site work is an asset
- Experience on custom home builds or high-end renovations is a strong asset
- Comfortable across a wide range of hand and power tools
- Valid driver's license is an asset

Pay and Hours

- $28.00 – $42.00/hr based on experience and demonstrated skill
- Overtime available immediately
- Steady, year-round work
