The Role

We are looking for an Implementation Consultant to own the accounting side of the customer journey: our QuickBooks integration, our accounting application, and our bookkeeping services.

This role requires someone who has spent at least 5 years doing real accounting work with real clients — setting up and cleaning up QuickBooks files, mapping charts of accounts, reconciling, explaining the numbers to business owners who are not accountants, and untangling the messes left behind by previous systems. You will be the bridge between our customers’ books and our software.

You will run demos and scoping calls alongside our sales team, onboard new shops onto our QuickBooks integration, migrate accounting data from legacy systems, configure sync settings, and support our bookkeeping service clients. When a shop’s books don’t balance or a sync breaks, you are the person who figures out why and fixes it — calmly, clearly, and fast.

What matters most is that you are a power user of QuickBooks (Online and/or Desktop), have high software navigation velocity, and can explain accounting concepts to shop owners without jargon. You know exactly where accounting integrations fail and how a proper setup should look.

You don’t need to be a coder, but you must be an expert in real-world bookkeeping workflows, and be able to understand what makes an accounting integration reliable and easy to trust.

Software industry experience is not required; however, deep accounting and QuickBooks knowledge is mandatory.



Experience with automotive or heavy-duty repair shop clients is considered a strong asset.

What You Will Do

In this work from home position, you will spend your days on calls with customers and working in QuickBooks, our application, and our internal tools. It is critical that you are efficient and fast with digital tools. If you don’t consider yourself a power user of QuickBooks and the other software you use, and don’t consider yourself a ‘fast’ typer, this is not the role for you.

Implementation & Onboarding

- Lead new customers through QuickBooks integration setup: chart of accounts mapping, item and tax configuration, and sync validation.
- Migrate accounting data from legacy shop management systems into ShopView and QuickBooks.
- Own the “logic” of the books. Ensure data flows correctly from an invoice in ShopView to the right accounts in QuickBooks.
- Run pre-sales demos and scoping calls with prospects to assess their current accounting setup and design their implementation plan.

Customer Success & Bookkeeping Services

- Support our bookkeeping service clients: month-end close, reconciliations, and clean, accurate financials they can trust.
- Troubleshoot sync errors, mismatched balances, and integration issues, and work with our engineering team to resolve root causes.
- Train shop owners, office managers, and their external accountants on how ShopView and QuickBooks work together.
- Document repeatable implementation playbooks so our process gets faster and better with every customer.

Product Feedback

- Be the voice of the accountant within our product team. Report where the integration confuses customers and propose how to make it better.
- Test new accounting features before release to ensure they meet the standard a real bookkeeper would demand.

What We Are Looking For

- Located in Canada and legally authorized to work in Canada.
- 5+ years of direct experience as an accountant, bookkeeper, or QuickBooks ProAdvisor working directly with small business clients.
- Expert-level mastery of QuickBooks Online (QuickBooks Desktop experience is a plus); you are the person others go to for help with the system.
- Deep understanding of core bookkeeping: chart of accounts, A/R and A/P, sales tax, reconciliations, and month-end close.




- Experience with accounting integrations and app ecosystems (payment processors, POS systems, or industry software syncing into QuickBooks).
- High software navigation velocity and excellent typing/keyboard skills.
- Strong follow-through, organization, and attention to detail.
- Ability to stay calm, helpful, and clear when customers are frustrated or under pressure.
- Comfortable using support, reporting, customer engagement, or automation tools.
- Comfortable experimenting with AI tools to work faster and document better (Claude, CGPT, etc…).
- Startup-ready mindset: adaptable, self-directed, and resourceful.

Nice To Have, But Not Required

- QuickBooks ProAdvisor certification (Advanced certification a strong plus)
- CPA designation or equivalent
- Experience serving automotive, heavy-duty repair, or trades clients
- Experience in a Client Advisory Services (CAS/CAAS) practice
- Experience in pre-sales, solutions consulting, or software implementation
- Experience working in an early-stage or high-growth software company
- Familiarity with Jira, Claude, CGPT, Intercom, Hubspot
