Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Pharmacy Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care, ensuring medication safety, and supporting clinical operations within a hospital or healthcare setting. - Dispense prescription medications accurately and efficiently while adhering to all safety protocols
- Provide expert consultation to patients regarding medication usage, potential side effects, and interactions
- Collaborate with physicians and healthcare teams to develop and modify patient treatment plans
- Ensure compliance with all legal, regulatory, and institutional policies related to medication management
- Maintain detailed records of prescriptions, patient interactions, and medication inventories
- Monitor patient responses to medications and report adverse reactions or concerns promptly
- Educate patients on medication adherence and health management strategies
- Assist in inventory management, including ordering, stocking, and verifying medication supplies




- Stay current with new pharmaceutical developments, guidelines, and best practices in patient care

Experience

- Prior retail/ Independent Pharmacy experience is preferred, especially in acute care or pediatrics settings
- Proven expertise in patient care within a pharmacy setting
- 1-2 years Experience On Kroll (Paperless) Software
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology and medication administration protocols, Compliance Packaging
- Experience working collaboratively with multidisciplinary healthcare teams
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail

Candidates should possess excellent communication skills, a thorough understanding of pharmaceutical practices, and a compassionate approach to patient interaction.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $18.00-$20.00 per hour
