Central Alberta Humane Society, Red Deer, AB. is a mission-driven non-profit organization committed to making a meaningful impact in our community. We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Fund Development Coordinator to join our team and help drive our fundraising efforts forward.
Reporting to the Executive Director, the Fund Development Coordinator plays a key role in supporting fundraising initiatives, donor engagement, and community outreach. This position is ideal for someone who is organized, relationship-focused, and passionate about making a difference.
Key Skills/Responsibilities
· Support the planning and execution of fundraising campaigns and initiatives
· Coordinate donor communications, acknowledgments, and stewardship activities
· Maintain and update donor databases, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality
· Assist with grant research, writing, and reporting
· Plan and coordinate fundraising events, including logistics and vendor coordination
· Prepare reports and track fundraising performance metrics
· Develop and distribute fundraising materials (email campaigns, newsletters, social media content)
· Identify potential donors, sponsors, and funding opportunities
Requirements
- Post-secondary education in Business, Marketing, Communications, Nonprofit Management, or a related field
- 2+ years of experience in fundraising, nonprofit, marketing, or a similar role
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
· Understanding of fundraising strategies and donor lifecycle
- Excellent organizational and time management abilities
- Ability to build and maintain relationships with donors and stakeholders
- Experience with CRM systems and/or Microsoft Office
- Event coordination experience is considered an asset
- A passion for community impact and nonprofit work
- Strong Team player
