Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Journeyperson Plumber to join our construction and maintenance team. The ideal candidate will possess comprehensive knowledge of plumbing systems, mechanical components, and related construction practices. This role involves installing, repairing, and maintaining plumbing systems in commercial and residential settings, ensuring compliance with safety standards and building codes. The Journeyperson Plumber will work independently and collaboratively to deliver high-quality workmanship on time and within project specifications.

Huckson's specializes in water treatment solutions and are also Class 4 Well technicians.

Well Technician certification and / or water treatment service and installation experience would be a definite asset.

Responsibilities

- Install, repair, and maintain plumbing systems including pipes, fixtures, and appliances in accordance with blueprints and schematics
- Experience in residential water treatment installation and servicing, jet and submersible pump repairs and installations.
- Read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and blueprints to determine project requirements
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and heavy lifting techniques safely and effectively
- Perform routine maintenance on plumbing systems to prevent future issues
- Collaborate with construction teams, HVAC specialists, and other trades to coordinate work efforts




- Conduct inspections to identify potential problems or code violations
- Ensure all work complies with local building codes, safety regulations, and industry standards
- Document work performed and report progress to supervisors or project managers

Requirements

- Valid Journeyperson Plumbing license or equivalent certification
- Proven experience in plumbing installation, repair, and maintenance within construction or industrial environments
- Strong mechanical knowledge including HVAC systems, schematics reading, and basic math skills
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and heavy lifting techniques
- Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams accurately
- Knowledge of construction practices related to carpentry and assembly processes
- Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail
- Ability to perform physical tasks including heavy lifting and working in confined spaces
- Commitment to safety protocols and quality standards at all times

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $35.00-$42.00 per hour

Expected hours: 35 – 48 per week
