What you'll be doing

As a Server working through Florence, you may be responsible for:

- Greeting residents and providing friendly, professional service
- Setting and preparing dining tables before meals
- Serving meals and beverages to residents
- Taking meal orders and communicating requests to the kitchen
- Assisting residents with menu selections and special requests
- Following resident dietary requirements and communicating concerns appropriately
- Clearing and cleaning tables and dining areas
- Maintaining a clean, organized and welcoming dining environment
- Following food safety and sanitation procedures
- Working alongside dietary, kitchen and care teams




- Creating a positive and respectful dining experience for residents

What we're looking for

We're looking for dependable, caring, and experienced Servers who take pride in providing excellent service.

You'll ideally have:

- One year of professional serving or hospitality experience
- Experience in a retirement home, long-term care, healthcare, institutional or high-volume dining environment is an asset
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Ability to provide friendly, respectful and patient service to seniors
- Ability to follow dietary and meal-service instructions
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Excellent reliability and time management
- A positive and professional attitude
- Ability to work in a fast-paced dining environment while maintaining attention to detail

Credentialing

- Covid-19 Vaccinations (2 doses)
- Valid Smart Serve
- Food Handlers Certificate
- Step-1 TB Test within the past 12 months
- Vulnerable Sector Screening within the past 6 months
- Mask Fit Testing
- Valid Work Permit
