Position Title: Construction Security Guard

Location: Kingston, ON

Shift Schedule

- Monday–Friday: 1800 hrs – 0600 hrs
- Saturday: 0600 hrs – 1800 hrs and 1800 hrs – 0600 hrs
- 6 hour and 12 hour shifts available based on availability.
- Evening, overnight, weekend, and on-call availability required.

Mission Objective

The Security Operator will be responsible for conducting regular foot patrols throughout the assigned property while maintaining a high level of awareness.

The operator will be responsible for perimeter security, identifying potential threats or hazards, monitoring the site, and completing accurate reports using our digital patrol system.

This position requires professionalism, good judgment, attention to detail, and the ability to remain calm and focused during emergencies or security incidents.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

- Conduct systematic foot patrols of assigned areas to maintain site and perimeter security.
- Complete hourly patrols and check all assigned areas and checkpoints.
- Use the digital patrol application to record checkpoints, incidents, and daily activities.




- Maintain continuous awareness of changes in the site environment and potential security risks.
- Respond promptly to alarms, emergencies, suspicious activity, and security breaches.
- Prepare clear and detailed incident reports and shift reports according to MGL standards.
- Maintain communication with the MGL Operations Centre and Site Supervisor throughout the shift.
- Enforce site rules and maintain a professional and authoritative presence.
- Follow all MGL policies, site procedures, and client instructions.
- Report safety concerns, property damage, theft, trespassing, and other incidents immediately.

Required Qualifications

- Valid Ontario Security Guard Licence (mandatory)
- Personal vehicle (mandatory)
- Physically able to conduct extended foot patrols in various weather and site conditions.
- Ability to work alone and remain alert throughout the shift.
- Available for evening, overnight, weekend, and on-call shifts.
- Ability to use mobile reporting and digital patrol applications.
- CPR certification is required for the application process.
