Key Responsibilities

Cost Control Lead oversees financial planning and cost management for projects or departments. Core responsibilities include:

- Budget and Cost Management: Monitor project or departmental costs, prepare budgets, and ensure cost-effective resource utilization while maintaining profitability.
- Cost Analysis and Reporting: Collect, analyze, and forecast financial and cost information to provide actionable insights for decision-making.
- Process Implementation: Develop and maintain internal control systems, quality control procedures, and cost control measures to reduce waste and optimize spending.
- Team Leadership: Lead cross-functional teams, mentor staff, and ensure alignment with organizational goals Indeed.
- Vendor and Procurement Management: Oversee vendor contracts, procurement strategies, and material cost management to maintain cost competitiveness




- Project Support: Assist project managers in risk identification, change management, and mitigation strategies to ensure projects remain within budget.

Required Skills and Qualifications

- Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Finance, Business Administration, or related fields; advanced degrees or certifications like CMA, CA, or MBA.
- Experience: Typically 5–15 years in cost control, project management, or financial analysis, experience in offshore oil industry considered an asset
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in cost accounting, budgeting software, Power BI, SAP, Microsoft Excel, and project management tools
- Analytical and Leadership Skills: Solid analytical abilities, attention to detail, problem-solving, and team management capabilities
- Change Management Experience needed
- Governance, Quality, and Compliance experience needed
