Position Overview: Refrigeration Technicians (Red Seal & Apprentices)

We are seeking skilled Refrigeration Technicians (Red Seal) and Apprentices to join our team in full-time, permanent positions. This role offers diverse work across residential and commercial projects, including the installation, repair, maintenance, and troubleshooting of refrigeration, air conditioning, ventilation, and heat pump systems.

The successful candidate is safety-minded, detail-oriented, and customer-focused, with strong technical skills and a commitment to quality service. You’ll work closely with internal teams to keep projects on track, while also providing knowledgeable recommendations to clients tailored to their needs and budgets.

Key Responsibilities

- Measure and lay out reference points for installation.
- Assemble and install refrigeration and air conditioning components.
- Measure, cut, and connect piping using welding and brazing equipment.
- Test systems for leaks using specialized testing devices.
- Perform maintenance tasks, such as recharging refrigerants, calibrating systems, and ensuring compliance with regulations.
- Interpret and troubleshoot gas error codes.
- Safely handle, recover, and store refrigerants.
- Repair and replace parts and components for complete refrigeration, A/C, ventilation,



or heat pump systems.
- Adhere to company procedures, protocols, and safety standards.
- Keep office and sales staff updated on service request status.
- Provide tailored equipment and parts recommendations to clients.

Skills & Qualifications

- Red Seal Certified Refrigeration Technician with 3–5 years of experience.
- Open to Apprentices (must be eligible and willing to register with the Nova Scotia Apprenticeship Agency).
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driver’s abstract.
- Must supply own tools, safety gear, and steel-toe boots.
- Highly organized, punctual, and detail-oriented.
- Team player with an easy-going personality.
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- Solid work ethic and willingness to learn new industry technologies.
