About Us

Sooda Brentwood is looking for an experienced, energetic, and team-oriented Front of House Supervisor to join our team!

We are a busy Korean fusion restaurant located near Brentwood, serving a vibrant menu to a highly diverse community.

We are looking for someone who can confidently lead the front-of-house team, communicate effectively with both Korean- and English-speaking staff and guests, and help maintain smooth restaurant operations during busy service periods.

Responsibilities

- Supervise and support front-of-house staff during daily service.
- Coordinate servers, bussers, food runners, and other FOH team members to ensure smooth operations.
- Assign sections, duties, breaks, and side work as needed.
- Lead the team during busy periods and maintain efficient communication between the kitchen and front-of-house.
- Train and support new employees and provide ongoing coaching to team members.
- Monitor service quality and ensure guests receive friendly, professional, and productive service.
- Handle guest concerns and complaints professionally.
- Assist with opening and closing procedures.
- Help maintain restaurant cleanliness, organization, and service standards.
- Assist management with staff performance, scheduling, and day-to-day operational needs.
- Ensure restaurant policies, food safety standards, and liquor service procedures are followed.
- Lead by example and help create a positive, respectful, and productive workplace.

Qualifications & Requirements

- Language: Must be fluent in BOTH Korean and English.
- Strong verbal communication skills in both languages are essential,



as you will communicate regularly with Korean-speaking staff and management as well as English-speaking guests.
- Previous restaurant experience is required.
- Previous experience as a Supervisor, Shift Leader, Senior Server, or similar leadership position is strongly preferred.
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to remain calm and organized in a busy, fast-paced restaurant environment.
- Comfortable handling guest concerns and supporting staff during high-volume service.
- Reliable, responsible, punctual, and professional.
- Must be comfortable taking initiative and making decisions during service.
- Must be available for a combination of daytime and/or evening shifts.
- Day Shift: approximately 11:00 AM – 5:30 PM.
- Evening Shift: approximately 5:30 PM – 10:30~11:30 PM.
- Legal Work Status: Permanent Residents (PR), Canadian Citizens, or Open Work Permit holders with at least 1 year of validity remaining.
