A Victoria business owner with multiple locally based businesses is looking for an experienced jack-of-all-trades-type handyman/general labourer to work at multiple property locations doing property maintenance and upgrades/renovations, landscaping, general construction, etc.

In order to succeed in this position you must have a positive attitude, be a self-starter able to work with minimal supervision, and be someone who is flexible and able to perform a variety of tasks including but not limited to:

· construction renovation experience

· Using common power tools, hand tools and gardening equipment

· Operating farm machinery such as tractors and excavators

· Loading and unloading materials and supplies picked up from local distributors.

· Landscaping

· Power-washing

· Painting

· Other general handyman duties as assigned.

This is a full-time position of approximately 30 – 40 hours per week, with a specific schedule to be negotiated with the successful candidate and could include both weekday and weekend work if desired.

Qualifications:

· Minimum 3 year of previous hands-on experience handyman in nature as noted above.

· Reliable (arrive to work on time as scheduled)





· Dependable (be productive while working independently)

· A Positive “can-do, make it happen” attitude

· Physically fit and able to lift at least 50lbs

· Comfortable with heights and be able to work on a ladder if required

· A commitment to performing work safely to prevent personal injury or damage to property

· Presentable appearance

· Good communication skills

· BC driver's licence with an acceptable driver’s abstract

· Cell phone

Salary: $30.00 - $35.00 per hour depending on experience. Benefit package available after probationary period has been completed.

MUST currently reside in the Greater Victoria area and be legally eligible to work in Canada (no sponsorship available for temporary foreign workers).
