One of our clients is urgently hiring experienced Forklift Operators to join their temperature-controlled cross-dock operation. Candidates must be Calgary residents and have previous experience handling fresh and frozen freight in a temperature-controlled dock environment.

Responsibilities

- Operate an electric counterbalance forklift safely and efficiently
- Load and unload fresh and frozen freight
- Move pallets and freight within the cross-dock facility
- Work in a fresh temperature-controlled area of approximately 34°F (1°C) and freezer conditions of approximately -5°F (-21°C)
- Ensure freight is handled and stored safely
- Complete loading/unloading duties efficiently and accurately
- Follow all workplace health and safety procedures
- Assist with general dock duties as required

Requirements





- 2–3+ years of forklift experience required
- Experience working with temperature-controlled fresh and frozen freight is mandatory
- Experience operating an electric counterbalance forklift
- Comfortable working in both fresh and freezer temperatures
- Reach forklift experience is an asset
- Reliable attendance and solid work ethic
- Ability to work full shifts and overtime when required
- Previous LTL/FTL, food distribution, or cross-dock experience is an asset

Pay: $21.00-$23.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40.0 per week
