The Kootenay Co-op is looking for a full-time Baker to join the Food Services Team in a temporary 3-month position! Do you love creating fresh breads, desserts and scratch-made baked goods? SKILLS + QUALIFICATIONS

· Food Safe Level 1 certification

· Ability to work independently and as part of a team

· Strong attention to detail and ability to meet production deadlines

· Excellent communication skills and reliability under pressure

· Ability to lift 25 lbs and work in a physically demanding environment

· Minimum 3 years skilled bakery experience

DUTIES + RESPONSIBILITIES

· Prepare daily baked goods for café, showcase, and grab-and-go

· Create ingredient order lists and ensure accurate signage

· Maintain sanitary food handling and kitchen cleanliness

· Deliver consistent, high-quality products and meet production deadlines





· Coordinate production equipment use with other kitchen programs

· Provide excellent customer service and address complaints appropriately

· Ensure compliance with all internal and external health and safety regulations, as well as employee policies and procedures

· Other duties as required

Rate: $22-28/ hour depending on experience
