About the Role

We are looking for a reliable and hardworking Permanent Lighting Installer to join our growing team.

This is a hands-on, outdoor position installing permanent exterior lighting systems on homes and commercial buildings throughout Vancouver Island.

You will work alongside our installation team on rooflines, soffits, ladders, roofs, and boom lifts. We are looking for someone who works efficiently, pays attention to detail, and takes pride in leaving every installation looking clean and professional.

Previous exterior construction or installation experience is an asset, but we are willing to train the right person.

What You'll Be Doing

- Installing permanent exterior lighting systems
- Installing colour-matched aluminum track along rooflines and soffits




- Running and concealing low-voltage wiring
- Measuring, cutting, and fitting aluminum track accurately
- Working from ladders, roofs, and boom lifts
- Installing controllers, power supplies, and related lighting components
- Testing completed lighting systems before leaving the job
- Troubleshooting basic installation issues
- Keeping job sites clean, safe, and organized
- Loading, unloading, and organizing materials
- Preparing materials for upcoming installations
- Communicating professionally with crew leads, coworkers, and customers
- Ensuring every installation meets ProShine's quality standards

Requirements

- Valid driver's licence
- Reliable transportation




- Must live in the Qualicum Beach–Nanaimo / Central Vancouver Island area
- Comfortable using ladders and working at heights
- Physically capable of lifting equipment and installation materials
- Able to work outdoors in changing weather conditions
- Willing to travel between job sites throughout Vancouver Island
- Solid attention to workplace and job-site safety

Compensation & Growth

Pay ranges from $25–$35+ per hour depending on experience, skill level, and ability.

Strong installers will have opportunities to increase their earning potential as they become capable of completing installations independently, taking responsibility for larger projects, and leading other installers.

There is a clear opportunity to grow into positions such as:

Senior Installer → Crew Lead → Installation Manager
