Electrician

Location: Trenton, ON

Shift: 3 Shift Rotation (rotates Weekly)

Pay: $41-$42 per hour + shift premium

Full Time Permanent Position

Responsibilities

- Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair industrial electrical systems, machinery, and equipment.
- Diagnose electrical faults and perform corrective repairs in a timely manner.
- Read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, blueprints, and technical documentation.
- Perform preventive and predictive electrical maintenance.
- Install and maintain motors, control panels, sensors, switches, transformers, and other electrical components.
- Troubleshoot PLCs, motor controls, variable frequency drives (VFDs), and industrial control systems.
- Test electrical components and systems using appropriate diagnostic tools and equipment.
- Assist with equipment installations, modifications, upgrades, and commissioning.
- Ensure electrical work complies with applicable electrical codes, safety regulations, and company standards.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, inspections, and parts used.
- Work collaboratively with maintenance, engineering, production, and other departments to minimize equipment downtime.




- Respond to electrical emergencies and breakdowns as required.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.

Qualifications

- Valid Electrician certification
- Experience working in an industrial or manufacturing environment.
- Strong knowledge of industrial electrical systems, controls, and equipment.
- Ability to read electrical drawings, schematics, and technical manuals.
- Experience troubleshooting motors, controls, PLCs, VFDs, and related equipment is an asset.
- Solid problem-solving and diagnostic skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good communication and organizational skills.
- Strong commitment to workplace health and safety.
- Ability to work shifts, overtime, weekends, or respond to emergency call-ins when required.
