Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and safety-focused Surface Top Hammer Driller to join our team. The successful candidate will operate and maintain production drilling equipment in a variety of environments, including construction sites, mine sites, and pipeline projects.

Experience with Gardner Denver, Atlas Copco, and Everdigm top hammer drills is preferred. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working in changing field conditions while maintaining a strong focus on safety, productivity, and environmental requirements.

Key Responsibilities

- Operate surface top hammer production drills to drill blast holes and other required holes.
- Operate drilling equipment in various settings, including construction sites, mine sites, quarries, and pipeline projects.
- Set up, position, and safely operate drilling equipment according to drilling plans and site requirements.
- Read and interpret drilling plans, layouts, and specifications.
- Measure locations and stake out patterns for drilling.
- Monitor drilling progress and adjust equipment as required to achieve accurate and efficient results.




- Perform daily inspections, routine maintenance, and basic troubleshooting of drilling equipment.
- Maintain a secure and organized work area and comply with all company, site, safety, and environmental requirements.
- Work effectively as part of a crew in a fast-paced field environment.

Experience & Qualifications

- Surface Miner Common Core preferred.
- Operate Production Drill modules preferred.
- Experience operating Gardner Denver, Atlas Copco, and/or Everdigm top hammer drills preferred.
- Previous production drilling experience in construction, mining, quarrying, or pipeline work is an asset.
- Experience operating heavy equipment is an asset.
- Strong commitment to workplace health and safety.
- Ability and willingness to work extended hours and travel to various job sites.
- Valid driver's licence is an asset.

Schedule & Working Conditions

- 7:00 AM–6:00 PM
- 50–66 hours per week
- Work is primarily in person and in the field.
- Approximately 75% travel may be required.
- FIFO (Fly-In/Fly-Out)
