Job Summary
We are seeking an energetic and detail-oriented IT Infrastructure Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing and optimizing our company's IT infrastructure, ensuring seamless operation across various platforms and environments. Your expertise will support the deployment, maintenance, and security of our network systems, servers, and cloud services, empowering our organization to achieve its technological goals.

100% Remote

Client: BC Government Client

6 month contract with extensions

Infrastructure/SyOps specialist, mostly focused on on-prem systems and association with AWS/Azure cloud connectivity.

Requirements:

Contractor SysOps Admin

- Server Management (Physical and Virtual): Administer, configure and manage
- Physical systems - rack mounted and Blade systems
- Microsoft Hyper-V environments, including hosts, clusters,



virtual machines, virtual networking, storage integration, replication, and live migration.
- Clustering: physical and virtual systems to support high-availability server (clustering), firmware upgrades, performance monitoring, troubleshooting and replacement
- SAN infrastructure: storage provisioning, LUN creation and mapping, zoning, multipathing, performance monitoring, and capacity management
- Brocade Fibre Channel switches: fabric administration, zoning, firmware upgrades, health monitoring, and troubleshooting
- Manage hybrid infrastructure spanning on-premises data centres, Microsoft Azure, and Amazon Web Services.
- Automate routine administration and deployment activities using PowerShell, scripting, infrastructure-as-code, or other automation tools.
- Create, update and maintain accurate technical documentation, including architecture diagrams, configuration records, operational procedures, recovery runbooks, and asset inventories.
