Nurse Practitioner (IPS) — Quebec | Virtual Care
Infirmière praticienne spécialisée / Infirmier praticien spécialisé
About Kinro
Kinro is a Canadian virtual care platform for a variety of therapeutic areas such as weight management and sexual health. Patients complete an online consultation, are assessed by a licensed practitioner, and receive their prescription through our own pharmacy, delivered to their door or sent to a local pharmacy for pickup. We're growing quickly across Canada and need more Quebec-licensed NPs to keep up with demand.
The role
You'll provide virtual primary care to Kinro's Quebec patients through our practitioner portal. The work is primarily asynchronous: you review intake questionnaires and medical histories, make prescribing decisions, and communicate with patients through secure messaging. No clinic, no fixed shifts.
Day to day, you will:
- Review new patient consultations as they come into the queue
- Build each approved patient's treatment plan
- Review monthly check-ins and adjust doses ahead of each renewal
- Respond to patient messages about side effects, dosing, and adherence
- Order laboratory testing where clinically indicated
- Work with our Medical Director, Director of Clinical Operations, and pharmacy team on patient care
Requirements
- Hold a Nurse Practitioner (IPS) specialist certificate from the OIIQ and be a member in good standing — primary care (IPSPL) preferred
- Able to order laboratory testing for Quebec patients
- Fluent in French (spoken and written); qualified working English for internal communication
- Minimum 1–2 years of NP experience with strong independent clinical judgment
- Able to log in at least once every 24 hours to respond to patients, and to commit a minimum of ~5 hours per week on the platform
- Comfortable with EMRs, secure messaging, and fully remote work
Assets
- Licensed as an NP in one or more additional provinces — Kinro serves patients across Canada, and each additional licence means more consultations available to you
- Experience with weight management or sexual health
- Prior virtual care / telehealth experience
What you get
- Work from anywhere in Quebec, on your schedule — pick up consultations when it suits you
- A dedicated clinical operations lead as your day-to-day contact, plus engineering and pharmacy support
- An easy-to-use practitioner portal, accessible from your laptop, tablet, or phone
- A secure platform built to meet Canadian health privacy requirements
