Position Summary
We are seeking mechanically skilled and technically minded individuals to join our manufacturing team. This prospect is well suited to candidates with experience in skilled trades, machining, CNC equipment, tool and die, industrial manufacturing, machine setup, mechanical assembly, or other precision manufacturing environments.
The successful candidate will work with specialized manufacturing equipment to produce high-quality precision components while meeting established safety, quality and productivity standards.
Previous CNC machining experience is an asset; however, we are also interested in candidates with strong transferable skilled-trades experience, mechanical aptitude and an interest in developing their skills in CNC and precision manufacturing.
Key Responsibilities
- Set up, operate and/or support production and precision manufacturing equipment.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, work instructions and manufacturing specifications.
- Use hand tools, power tools and precision measuring equipment such as calipers, micrometers and gauges.
- Measure and inspect components to ensure dimensional accuracy and compliance with specifications.
- Perform machine setups, tooling changes and adjustments based on training and experience.
- Monitor equipment and manufacturing processes and identify potential quality or equipment issues.
- Troubleshoot basic mechanical, tooling and process issues.
- Work with tight tolerances and maintain a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Complete required production, inspection and quality documentation.
- · Follow established manufacturing processes, safety requirements and quality procedures.
- Maintain equipment and work areas in a safe, clean and organized condition.
- Work collaboratively with Production, Quality,
Engineering and other team members to resolve manufacturing issues.
- Participate in training and skills development to expand technical capabilities and progress within the organization.
- Perform other related manufacturing and skilled-trades duties as required.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Skilled trades, technical, machining or manufacturing education is considered an asset.
- Previous experience in machining, CNC, tool and die, machine setup/operation, mechanical trades, precision manufacturing or a related technical environment is preferred.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints and/or manufacturing instructions.
- Experience using precision measuring instruments is an asset.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and hands-on problem-solving ability.
- Ability to perform accurate work requiring attention to detail and dimensional specifications.
- Comfortable working with industrial machinery, tools and manufacturing equipment.
- Ability and willingness to learn new equipment, technologies and manufacturing processes.
- Strong commitment to workplace safety, quality and productivity.
- Ability to work effectively independently and as part of a team.
- Flexibility to work assigned shifts and overtime as operationally required.
Preferred / Transferable Experience
Candidates with experience in any of the following areas are encouraged to apply:
- CNC machining or CNC machine operation
- General machining
- Tool and die
- Milling, turning, grinding or drilling
- Machine setup and changeovers
- Millwright or industrial mechanical work
- Precision assembly or fabrication
- Automotive, aerospace or advanced manufacturing
- Quality inspection and precision measurement
- Mechanical or industrial maintenance
- Apprenticeship or skilled-trades training

**This compensation range will be based on knowledge and experience**
Compensation: $25.00 - $34.00 per hour
