Position Details

Nason Contracting Group Ltd. is currently seeking local Journeyperson Carpenters for work at our on a project in La Crete, AB:

- Schedule Rotation: 10 days on, 4 days off (10 hour days)
- Benefits and RRSP Provided As Per Collective Agreement
- Start Date: October 2026

What You Will Be Working On

As a Journeyperson Carpenter, you will play a key role in the construction of a new healthcare facility that will serve the residents of La Crete and surrounding communities. Working alongside a skilled project team, you will contribute to all phases of construction while ensuring quality workmanship, safety, and adherence to project schedules.





- Construct and install concrete formwork for foundations, grade beams, walls, columns, and structural elements.

- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and project specifications to ensure work is completed accurately and efficiently.
- Build and install wood and metal framing for patient care areas, administrative offices, corridors, and support spaces.
- Install backing, blocking, doors, frames, hardware, and other interior and exterior building components.
- Perform layout work and ensure construction meets project tolerances, quality standards, and healthcare facility requirements.
- Collaborate with supervisors, tradespeople, and subcontractors to maintain productivity and project schedules.
- Follow all site safety procedures and participate in daily hazard assessments, toolbox talks, and safety initiatives.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and professional work environment.
- Contribute to delivering a high-quality healthcare facility that will serve the community for years to come.

What We Are Looking For

- Valid Journeyperson certificate in the trade of Carpentry
- CSTS 2020
- WHMIS 2015
- ESC Fall Protection + Arial Work Platform
- Extensive knowledge of the occupational hazards and safety precautions applicable to the work
- The ability to lift, carry and handle weight up to 50lbs
- Must be organized, self-driven, and have ability to understand and execute oral and written instructions
