Warehouse Associate – Flower Distribution Centre – Ottawa

Busy season is here, and we need hands on deck.
WorkSi Consulting is recruiting for a flower distribution centre in Ottawa during its peak season Starting on September 28th. We're hiring for two types of roles, so whether you prefer heavier warehouse work or lighter, hands-on production, there's a spot for you.

Schedule and pay

- $17.95/hr + 4% vacation pay
- Overtime at $26.93/hr after 44 hours/week
- 8-hour shifts starting at 8:00 AM
- Weekend shifts required during peak season (rotating schedule)
- Paid every week
- Free on-site parking

Role 1: General Labour (heavier duties)

- Unload trucks and break down skids by item
- Move, stage, and organize product around the warehouse
- Scan products in and out with an RF scanner
- Keep the production team supplied with materials
- Rotate inventory to keep flowers fresh
- Keep work areas clean and organized

Role 2: Pack Maker / Production Associate (lighter duties)

- Prepare flowers for production based on the daily plan
- Assemble and pack bouquets with care
- Check each product for quality, presentation, and freshness
- Scan products before they go to production or shipping
- Keep your workstation clean, safe,



and organized

You'll be placed in the role that best matches your experience and the site's needs.

Heads up: this is a cold environment. The warehouse is kept between 0°C and 5°C to keep the flowers fresh, so dress in warm layers.

What you need

- Warehouse, production, or general labour experience
- Able to lift up to 25 lbs (more often for General Labour)
- Comfortable standing for a full shift in a cold environment
- Available for a rotating schedule, including weekends
- Able to work independently and as part of a team
- Basic English communication skills
- CSA-approved safety shoes (required on your first day)

Nice to have

- RF scanner experience
- Experience with flowers, food, or other fresh products
