Job Overview

We are seeking a motivated and skilled Fitter to join our dynamic manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for assembling, installing, and maintaining mechanical components and systems with precision and efficiency. Duties

- Read and interpret detailed blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to accurately assemble components
- Use hand tools, power tools, welding equipment (MIG, TIG), plasma cutters, and press brake machines to shape, cut, and assemble metal parts
- Perform rigging tasks to lift and position heavy machinery or structural elements safely
- Conduct machining operations using calipers, hand tools, and other precision measurement devices to ensure parts meet exact specifications
- Assemble ductwork, mechanical systems, or structural frameworks according to project requirements
- Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment to transport heavy materials within the workspace
- Follow safety protocols during all operations,



including crane handling and welding procedures, to maintain a secure work environment

Experience

- Proven experience as a Fitter or in a similar manufacturing or construction role involving mechanical assembly and installation
- Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in welding (MIG and TIG), machining, and blueprint reading
- Familiarity with schematics, technical drawings, and technical manuals for assembly processes
- Ability to use calipers, hand tools, power tools, plasma cutters, press brake machines, and welding equipment proficiently
- Knowledge of rigging techniques for lifting heavy components safely using cranes or hoists
- Basic math skills for measurements and calculations required during assembly processes
- Prior experience working with ductwork or structural steel in construction or manufacturing environments is advantageous
