Previous two years upscale fine dining restaurant experience required.

Availability:

PM Shift - 5:00 PM–11:00 PM Wednesdays to Saturdays and Sunday 9:00 AM – 2:00 PM

AM Shift -7:00AM – 1:00PM including weekends

Additional Weekday evening availability is appreciated.

Duties:

Maintain a clean, organized and welcoming front – of –house experience.

Take reservations over the phone, online platforms or in person.

Make notes if guest is celebrating a special occasion and advise F&B; Manager or hotel concierge if required.

Welcome guests, confirm reservation, offer to take coats.

Let guests know of wait times; contact them as a table becomes available.

Seat guests at designated tables.

Must be able to balance sections so there is not an issue of overcrowding/too much for one server to handle.

A host must be able to answer basic questions about the Oval Room menu(s) if a guest asks when being seated and/or when they are making a reservation.

Comfortable speaking with and/or assisting a guest if they come to you with a concern or complaint.

Must be able to work effectively within a team, including giving direction to servers regarding seating assignments.

Experience with OpenTable reservation system an asset.
