High-End Custom Residential Construction | West Vancouver
We are seeking a hands-on Construction Project Manager / Senior Project Coordinator to oversee a high-end custom home construction project in West Vancouver.
The successful candidate will spend most of their time based at the project site, taking responsibility for day-to-day construction coordination, trade management, quality control, scheduling, and site activities. From time to time, they will also be required to attend our Richmond head office for project meetings, coordination, and other company-related tasks.
This person will work closely with the homeowner, architect, interior designer, consultants, trades, and suppliers to ensure the project is delivered on schedule, within budget, safely, and to the highest standards of quality and craftsmanship.
Key Responsibilities
- Take ownership of day-to-day construction activities and site coordination.
- Coordinate and supervise all trades, subcontractors, suppliers, and site activities.
- Manage construction sequencing, schedules, milestones, and site priorities.
- Read and interpret architectural, structural, MEP drawings, specifications, and shop drawings.
- Work closely with the homeowner, architect, interior designer, consultants, and trades to resolve construction and design issues.
- Ensure work follows approved drawings, specifications, design intent, and homeowner expectations.
- Monitor quality, craftsmanship, finishes, detailing, and overall aesthetic execution.
- Coordinate high-end custom elements including millwork, cabinetry, stone, flooring, lighting, plumbing fixtures, doors, hardware, and specialty finishes.
- Track RFIs, shop drawings, material deliveries, changes, and site instructions.
- Assist with project schedules, budgets, change orders, cost tracking, and progress claims.
- Identify potential schedule, cost, coordination, or quality issues early and drive solutions.
- Maintain a safe, clean, organized, and skilled job site.
- Conduct regular site walks, manage deficiencies,
and ensure corrective work is completed properly.
- Provide clear and timely project updates to the homeowner, design team, and internal management.
- Support project close-out, final deficiencies, commissioning, and turnover.
Qualifications
- 3–7+ years of experience in high-end custom residential construction, luxury homes, or complex residential renovations.
- Strong experience coordinating multiple trades and subcontractors on active construction sites.
- Excellent ability to read and understand architectural, structural, MEP, and shop drawings.
- Strong understanding of construction sequencing, scheduling, quality control, and site safety.
- Experience working directly with homeowners, architects, interior designers, consultants, and specialty trades.
- Strong eye for aesthetics, materials, detailing, and high-end finishes is a significant asset.
- Excellent communication, organization, problem-solving, and time-management skills.
- Hands-on, proactive, accountable, and comfortable taking ownership of a project.
- Proficiency with construction/project management software, Bluebeam, Microsoft Office, Procore, or similar is an asset.
- Willingness and ability to be based primarily at the West Vancouver project site.
- Ability to travel to the Richmond head office when required.

You are comfortable managing trades in the field, reading drawings and shop drawings, solving construction issues, and communicating directly with a discerning homeowner and design team.
You understand that a luxury custom home requires exceptional craftsmanship, attention to detail, coordination, and execution—not simply getting the work completed.
Project Location: West Vancouver, BC
Primary Work Location: Project site
Secondary Location: Richmond Head Office, as required
Pay: $68,000.00-$80,000.00 per year
