Job Overview

We are seeking a new Meal Advisor to act as Team Leader, and eventually fill the role of Store Manager. The ideal candidate must be comfortable working on their own and as part of team. They must have a friendly outgoing personality, and enjoy working with and speaking to customers about the amazing food and products we offer at M&M; Food Market.

As Team Lead or Store Manager with M&M; Food Market, you will be a brand ambassador and team leader within our stores. You’ll oversee all aspects of our retail operations – from hiring, training and coaching a knowledgeable team of Meal Advisors, to executing on strategic sales and merchandising initiatives, ordering and inventory management, as well as implementing plans to meet or exceed store targets.

Responsibilities

- Greet customers warmly and provide personalized meal recommendations based on their preferences and dietary needs
- Assist customers with ordering processes, including cashiering and POS transactions
- Upsell additional products or meal options to maximize sales opportunities
- Stock shelves and organize product in our freezer
- Maintain organized merchandising displays to attract customer attention




- Handle cash transactions accurately and manage cash handling procedures
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing inquiries promptly and professionally
- Place weekly orders for store stock, receive them, and put them away in the freezer
- Balance daily sales and complete bank deposits
- Perform bi-annual inventories of stock
- Fill shifts as need when other staff are unable to work

Requirements

- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to engage with customers confidently
- Experience in retail sales, food service, or similar customer-facing roles is advantageous
- Basic math skills for handling cash transactions accurately
- Familiarity with POS systems and cashiering procedures is necessary
- Ability to work well under pressure while maintaining a positive attitude
- Demonstrated time management skills to prioritize tasks effectively
- Self motivated to complete necessary tasks while working independently
- Strong computer skills

We will provide ongoing training and support.

Pay: $19.25-$21.95 per hour

Expected hours: 25.0 – 32.0 per week
