Technical Services Engineer

Position Overview: Lambert Nemec Group is partnering with a respected and innovative leader in power system protection and automation in their search for a Technical Services Engineer . This is an exceptional opportunity for a professional, detailed, and highly technical individual to manage all technical aspects of the client's customer interface, deliver top-quality problem-solving, and support the sales team . This role is ideal for a self-directed individual contributor with an expert-level understanding of electric power system protection and automation (specifically relays and records) . Operating remotely with up to 25% travel across Canada, the US, and internationally, the successful candidate will manage multiple client demands directly while serving as a key technical face of the organization .

Key Responsibilities:

- Help customers apply specialized products through site visits, demonstrations, training courses, and direct technical consultation .

- Provide comprehensive customer support and resolve technical concerns by developing application notes, conference papers, and WebEx demonstrations .

- Assist clients with the installation, commissioning, and ongoing operation of systems both on-site and remotely .

- Partner directly with client facilities to determine required product feature sets and collaborate with Marketing on strategic improvements .

- Assist in the preparation and presentation of successful technical proposals for products, services, and systems .

- Participate in key industry technical meetings (e.g., NASPI, IEEE PSRC) and contribute to technical manuals, datasheets, and ordering guides .

- Assume project management or supervisory roles on assigned projects,



ensuring execution within schedule and budget .

Requirements:

- B.S. in Electrical Engineering is mandatory .

- 3–5 years of direct experience working with relays and records .

- Working knowledge of electric power systems, utility or engineering firm protective relay applications, and industry practices .

- Hands-on experience with EMTP, load flow, and short circuit studies .

- Excellent technical training, public speaking, written communication, and collaborative team skills .

- Applicants must be legally authorized to work in their country of residence with no restrictions on travel between Canada and the USA .

- Ability to manage travel demands of up to 25% across regional and international client sites .

- Ability to successfully complete standard pre-employment background checks and drug screening protocols .
