This is a part-time position - 10 - 20 hours per week with the possibility of becoming full time.

The Budtender is responsible for providing quality customer service, welcoming customers, educating them on the range of products and services available to them, informing the manager of customer complaints and operational issues, and sharing facts related to cannabis products to address customer inquiries.

Duties and Responsibilities

Under the supervision of the Manager, the duties and responsibilities of the Budtender include, but are not limited to, the following:

Advising customers on suitable cannabis products based on their needs, preferences, budgets, and reactions to different strains of cannabis;
- Keeping abreast of new cannabis products on the market as well as the latest industry trends;
- Accurately processing customers' payments using the dispensary's Point of Sale (POS) system;
- Ensuring that the dispensary is clean and well-organized at all times;
- Educating customers on the safe use of their selected cannabis products;
- Correctly assembling cannabis product orders as required ensuring accuracy and attention to detail;
- Checking customers' identification documents to verify that they are of legal age; and




- Compliance will all Provincial requirements as per the AGCO & Registrar’s Standards.

Minimum Requirements

- High school diploma or GED; Successful applicants must be over 19 years of age;
- One to two (1-2) years experience working as a Budtender or similar experience working in a customer service or retail position;
- A clean criminal background check;
- A valid Cannsell or AGCO Board approved Cannabis retail employee training license;
- Sound knowledge of cannabis strains and their properties an asset;
- Proficiency in all Microsoft Office applications;
- Outstanding organizational skills;
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills;
- Effective communication skills; and
- Exceptional customer service skills.

Key Relationships

This position interfaces with internal and external contacts:

- Internal: Manager, Budtenders, Company Owners.
- External: Various vendors.

Working Conditions

- Evenings, weekends or outside normal working hours;
- Required to work in a busy, open area work workplace which may result in constant interruptions;
- Required to spend long hours concentrating which will require attention to detail and high levels of accuracy; and
- Required to meet a number of deadlines which may cause stress.
