Duties

- Efficiently wash, sanitize, and organize dishes, utensils, cookware, and kitchen equipment to maintain high standards of cleanliness and safety
- Assist with basic food preparation tasks such as peeling, chopping, or portioning ingredients under supervision
- Support the kitchen staff by restocking supplies and ensuring workstations are clean and organized throughout service
- Follow food safety protocols diligently to prevent cross-contamination and ensure proper handling of all food items
- Maintain cleanliness of kitchen floors, counters, sinks, and storage areas to promote a hygienic workspace
- Help with waste disposal and recycling procedures in accordance with health regulations




- Support meal service by providing clean dishes and assisting with minor food prep when needed

Requirements

- Previous experience in a restaurant or food service environment is preferred but not required; willingness to learn is essential
- Knowledge of basic food handling procedures and safety standards in the food industry
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks such as lifting moderate loads and bending
- Strong attention to detail with a focus on cleanliness and organization
- Good communication skills and ability to work effectively within a team
- Basic understanding of cooking or meal preparation is a plus but not mandatory
- Commitment to maintaining a secure, hygienic kitchen environment in line with food safety regulations
