About Us

Rinker Materials is a leading manufacturer of pipes and products in the United States and Eastern Canada for a variety of water-related infrastructure applications, including water transmission, distribution and drainage.

We specialize in the manufacture of prestressed concrete cylinder pipe, mainly for waterworks networks; providing first-rate products and engineering services to all major centers across Canada.

Position Overview

This position is a hands-on administration role in a manufacturing environment.

The Plant Administrator is responsible for providing administrative support across a variety of plant functions, including accounts payable, employee administration, office and inventory administration.

The role supports the day-to-day plant operations, is a key resource to employees, and provides direct administrative support to the Plant Manager.

Key Responsibilities

- Manage day-to-day Accounts Payable and finance activities, including invoice processing, maintaining vendor information in the ERP system, preparing payment requests, and month-end requirements.
- Maintain organized AP and financial records.
- Resolve discrepancies with vendors and internal departments
- Coordinate employee administration, including new hire processing, onboarding, employee status changes, payroll and benefits documentation.
- Maintain employee records, attendance and vacation, using HRIS document system (on-site files, where necessary)
- Coordinate with temporary staffing agencies, including staffing administration and timekeeping.
- Support purchasing and vendor administration, including sourcing supplies, obtaining required documentation and maintaining vendor records.
- Receive and track incoming materials and orders, maintain inventory documentation, and prepare regular inventory reports.
- Maintain accurate financial, inventory and plant records.
- Act as a first point of contact for plant visitors
- Support leadership by being another contact for employees regarding company policy,



benefits and other routine employment-related inquiries, escalating as appropriate.
- Coordinate service with vending, cleaning, uniform, photocopier and first aid suppliers.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

- Secondary school diploma required; post-secondary education in Business Administration, Office Administration, Finance or a related field preferred.
- 3+ years of relevant experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
- Experience with Accounts Payable, invoice processing and general accounting administration.
- Robust organizational skills, attention to detail and accuracy.
- Intermediate Microsoft Office skills and the ability to learn ERP, HRIS and other business systems.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with employees, supervisors, vendors and other external partners.

Compensation

The total target compensation range is posted. Placement within that range will be based on factors such as skills, knowledge, education, and experience.

Pay: $60,000.00-$68,000.00 per year
