Vancouver family (Postal Code: V5X 1V9) is presently seeking an experienced caregiver to care for 1 toddler. The position is expected to commence as soon as possible. Childcare will take place in the employer’s home.

Urban setting; public transportation is available; work in employer’s/client’s home

Personal Skills:
Reliability; Effective interpersonal skills; team player; excellent oral communication; judgement and intuitiveness; and flexibility

Additional Skills:
Perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties; assume full responsibility for household in absence of parents; travel with family on trips and assist with child supervision and housekeeping duties.

Specific Childcare Skills:
Maintain a secure and healthy environment in the home, prepare meals for young children, prepare children for rest periods,



keep records of daily activities and health information regarding child, tend to emotional well-being of child, supervise and care for child, prepare and serve nutritious meals, bathe, dress and feed children, instruct children in personal hygiene and social development, organize, activities such as games and outings for child.

Certificates/Credentials Desired: Teaching, nursing or midwifery background, an asset

Education:
Secondary (high) school graduation certificate

Hours:
Full-Time

Wage:
Higher of $12.65/hour or Prevailing Wage

Experience:
At least 1 year of childcare or related experience is strongly preferred.
