Position Summary

The Career Foundation is currently seeking for an experienced Waiters/Servers on behalf of one of our employer partners across the GTA and Durham Region.

The ideal candidate should be customer-focused, reliable professionals who are passionate about delivering exceptional guest service in restaurants, hotels, banquet halls, convention centres, clubs, and event venues.

Key Responsibilities

- Welcome guests in a friendly and professional manner.
- Take food and beverage orders accurately.
- Serve food and beverages according to service standards.
- Set up, maintain, and clear dining tables.
- Respond promptly to guest requests and ensure guest satisfaction.
- Maintain cleanliness of dining areas and service stations.
- Assist with banquet, buffet, and event service.
- Follow food safety and health & safety procedures.
- Process payments using POS systems when required.
- Work closely with kitchen and front-of-house teams.
- Perform opening, closing, and side duties as assigned.

Requirements

- 6 months to 2 years of serving experience.
- Experience in restaurants, hotels, banquet halls, clubs, convention centres, or catering/event venues preferred.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced workplace.
- Professional appearance and positive attitude.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and carry serving trays.
- Flexible to work weekdays, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Good English communication skills.

Qualifications

- High School Diploma or equivalent is an asset.
- Previous serving experience is required.




- Smart Serve Certification is an asset (or required by client).
- Food Handler Certification is an asset.
