Position Overview

Ferreira Café is looking for a motivated and guest-focused Restaurant Staff member to join the team. This position is suited to someone who enjoys a lively restaurant setting, communicates well with guests, and is comfortable stepping into different service tasks to help the team deliver an enjoyable dining experience.

What You'll Handle

- Welcome guests and create a warm first impression
- Assist guests with menus, seating, orders, and general requests
- Take food and beverage orders accurately when assigned
- Provide clear information about menu selections and daily offerings
- Deliver food and beverages with attention to timing and presentation
- Communicate dietary requirements, allergies, and special requests to the kitchen team
- Clear and reset tables efficiently between guests
- Keep the dining room and service areas clean and inviting
- Maintain well-stocked service stations throughout each shift
- Refill cutlery, glassware, napkins, condiments, and other restaurant supplies
- Work alongside servers, kitchen staff, and supervisors during busy periods
- Assist with POS transactions and guest payments when required
- Respond to customer questions and basic concerns in a courteous manner
- Help with restaurant setup, restocking, opening, closing, and cleaning
- Follow established food-safety, sanitation, hygiene, and workplace procedures

Qualifications

- Previous restaurant, café, hospitality, or customer-service experience is an asset




- Friendly and professional communication style
- Comfortable interacting with a wide range of guests
- Strong teamwork and willingness to assist coworkers
- Able to stay organized during busy service
- Good attention to cleanliness, accuracy, and presentation
- Reliable, punctual, and responsible
- Positive attitude with a willingness to learn new tasks

About Ferreira Café

Restaurant Staff members help keep service flowing by taking care of guests, supporting coworkers, and making sure the dining room remains organized and ready throughout the shift.

Pay: $16.60-$23.41 per hour

Expected hours: 34.0 per week
